Engineering and Technology students attend the Informatics Olympiad Vietnamese students and ICPC Asia in Can Tho 2020
In order to enhance academic activities for IT students, the School of Engineering and Technology - Tra Vinh University has 2 teams to participate in the 29th Vietnam Informatics Student Olympics and the Student Programming Competition. International Student ICPC Asia Can Tho 2020 with two content specialized and non-specialized exam.
The contest took place from December 8 to December 11, 2020 jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Informatics Association, and the Vietnam Student Association at Can Tho University.
Coming to the Contest, the School of Engineering and Technology of Tra Vinh University included: 03 students participating in the individual competition division including Nguyen Huynh Huu Tai, Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong and Do Trong Hao (Information Technology, course 2017); 03 students participated in the section of non - informatics individual contest, including Cao Ka Ka, Pham Quyen Dinh (Information Technology B, course 2020), Nguyen Hoang Phu (Information Technology A, course 2020).
The specialized and non-informatics divisions are individual exams for students attending universities and colleges; content of computer programming exam to solve some problems. This year's exam questions focus on dynamic planning algorithms; linked list data structure; large numbers and some algorithm design analysis techniques.
Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong, a student of the University of Information Technology, course 2017 shared: “The 29th Vietnamese Student Informatics Olympiad and the 2020 ICPC Asia Student Programming Competition is the courtyard. Intellect play for all students who have passion, understanding in the field of information technology, compete together and also an opportunity for students to exchange, learn and improve their information technology skills. "
According to the results announced from the Organizing Committee of the contest: Do Trong Hao (student of the University of Information Technology, course 2017) won the Consolation Prize in the Specialized Individual Competition Division; Cao Ka Ka (Information Technology B, course 2020) won the Consolation Prize in the Non-professional Individual Competition Division.
