A STUDY ON THE IMPACT OF CLAMP POSITION ON DEFORMATION OF THE WELD JOINT USING THE CNC AUTOMATIC ARC WELDING PROCESS
Abstract:
This study is to explore the deformation of seam welds and T-shaped weld joints in sheet type.
The study’s experiments and simulation show that, at the clamping position closest to the weld,
the deformation is the smallest; at the 2-sided clamping position, the deformation is the smallest
for seam welds; and in the middle clamping position and at the 2-sided clamping position, the
clamping position on both sides has the smallest deformation.
