Abstract:
This paper presents the theoretical background and compares the calculation results of the design of reinforced concrete square pile cap foundation subjected to complex bearing conditions of the actual construction. The calculation results are obtained using plane strut and tie model (STM 2D), space strut and tie model (STM 3D) and console beam model. When examined the bearing reinforcement capacity of the pile foundation in the short side and the long side, the results show that the actual design is greater than STM 2D, STM 3D and the console beam model from 17.95% to 29.03%. The results also demonstrate that STM 2D, STM 3D and console beam models used in the analysis and design of pile cap foundations are accurate, appropriate, highly reliable, and effective in both economic and technical terms.
