Abstract:
Differential between the active wheels on cars is responsible for transmitting and distributing torque to the active wheels, and at the same time enabling the wheels on both sides to rotate at different speeds when the car is moving turn around. However, in linear motion mode, if the grip force on the two wheel sides is different makes the torque distribution between the two wheel sides uneven, distributing more to the low grip force wheel side increases slipping of the wheel and loss of traction. The paper examines the effect of differentials on the distributed traction between the two wheels on the basis of the powertrain dynamics model, including the differential. The results of the survey, analysis and dynamic model were built as the basis for the research and design of high quality improvement systems such as active differential system, traction control system, etc.
