Abstract:
The blended learning and flipped classroom models are advanced education initiatives which are based on the development of eLearning technology and combined teaching methods. They have been applied in many universities around the world because of the positive results that they bring to students. Through these models, learners themselves can build necessary skills by doing their projects, developing their inherent competencies, and controlling their own learning. In addition, learners can also master their study time and reduce their training costs. In this article, the authors clarify the content of these two models based on learning theories. By doing this, we suggest recommended solutions to the application of these models in teaching in-service undergraduate courses in order to increase the quality of this training mode.
